Redevelopment area

The canalside redevelopment area consists of much of the land that was formerly occupied by a boat-hire company, Orchard Cruisers. Until recently, much of it was used by a boat repair operation 'Alchemy Boats'. The Council-owned Dawson Place garage site will also be included to allow for a new Community Centre to be built somewhere on the site, preferably integrated with the overall development.
