Bravery commendations

Lewis Singh, 11, of Canal Street, Daniel New, 13, of School Court, and Marley Joseph-Arroyave, 12, of Jericho Street are to receive commendations from the Area Commander at Thames Valley Police for their ‘bravery and calmness’ in helping an elderly resident who was robbed of her purse and knocked over in Great Clarendon Street in February. The boys saw their neighbour being attacked. Lewis helped her get back to her flat and stayed with her until the police arrived, while Daniel and Marley, chased the robber who disappeared along the canal.
