Most countries have failed to create enough decent jobs to keep all those available and willing to work employed. And for an increasing segment of workers, the quality of employment has also suffered, including with the proliferation of more insecure forms of work. Inequality in the distribution of earnings from work as well as the unequal distribution of the benefits from the growth of income has also become a major concern.
